On 21 October 2023, the Cheese Festival is coming to Bern – to Waisenhausplatz square in the heart of the city. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., numerous cheesemakers will be presenting their diverse products, made over the course of the last year. The festival will have a folkloric feel. Besides the main event, the big cheese market, there will also be a cow milking competition at which visitors can prove their skills, as well as a show dairy and food stalls with music. If you are not a cheese lover yet, you will almost definitely become one at the Cheese Festival!

It is organized and carried out at several locations in Switzerland – in Huttwil, too, for example – by the association “cheese-festival”. Its aim is to introduce visitors to the different customs of regional cheese production. More information can be found on the festival’s website.
