Bern, the Beer Capital
Can you hear it bubbling and fizzing? Fermenting and brewing happens everywhere in Bern, including in basements, garages and even in laundry rooms. 176 breweries and microbreweries – more than anywhere else in Switzerland – are registered here. It’s no wonder that locally brewed craft beer and Bern go together just like hops and malt do!
Bärner Meitschi Beer
From Bernese Kiss to Bernese Miss: To celebrate the 50-year anniversary of women’s suffrage in Switzerland, Felsenau brewery’s iconic beer “Bärner Müntschi” (“Bernese Kiss”) was given a new name. The special edition “Bärner Meitschi” (“Bernese Miss”) is available exclusively in the anniversary year – directly at the Felsenau brewery or at Drinks of the World at Bern railway station.
