On the first weekend of July, the grounds of the Spycher-Handwerk in Schwarzenbach are transformed into an enchanted marketplace. Visitors engage in sword and spear fights, prove their skills on the archery track and explore medieval craftsmanship at more than 50 market stalls. Basket weavers, syrup makers, blacksmiths and straw spinners send both children and adults on a journey through time.
The Historic Artisans’ Market in Huttwil is hard to beat in terms of nostalgic experiences. Medieval fans are spoiled with fire spectacles, juggling performances and captivating show fights. They can treat themselves to a little time out in the bathing tent and indulge in savory meals at the tavern. Children can listen to captivating fairy tales in a tent and absolve a real warrior training. As the crowning finale, the medieval weekend is concluded with mystical concerts.
