In April, afternoons and weekends are filled with building, tinkering, perfecting, polishing with the aim to build the fastest – and most creative – soapbox car for the big race at the end of the month. The drivers’ skills are first put to the test on Friday, when the categories precision driving, pit stop, coasting, and brake test are on the programme. On Saturday, it’s time for the test runs, where the teams get to know the racetrack and experience the first adrenaline rushes. Sunday is the big day!
There are different racing categories and three runs in which the drivers and their soapboxes compete for the win.
