The picture shows a buffet with a selection of cheeses, jams and crispbread, presented on a rustic fabric base. There are small signs, presumably showing the names of the cheeses. Other components of the buffet, such as fruit juices and fruit bowls, can be seen in the background, all arranged in a cosy-looking room.
The picture shows a family sitting outside at a table eating. A man and two children are visible, while a woman turns her back to the viewer's field of vision. They are enjoying sandwiches and drinks, with a picturesque view in the background showing a wide valley and a cityscape. The atmosphere is relaxed.
The picture shows a dessert buffet, in the foreground is a large white casserole dish with a tiramisu, garnished with fresh raspberries, pieces of fig and small biscuits. In the background, other dishes and a person, presumably a chef or waiter, can be recognised out of focus. The ambience is stylish and the presentation of the food is elegant.

Brunch at Restaurant Gurtners – on the Gurten

Culinary highlights in a stylish ambience: on Sundays, the Gurtners spoils its guests with an extensive Sunday brunch which is the perfect start to the day for the stylish gourmet lover.

Cosy furnishings and a spectacular view of the city of Bern and the peaks of the Bernese Oberland create the unique atmosphere at Gurtners, where exquisite delicacies are waiting for you on a long, wooden kitchen table right in the middle of the restaurant.

Freshly baked bread made in-house with butter and jam, raw ham sliced on-site, Gurtners’ favourite cheese, muesli, smoked salmon, eggs Benedict on seasonal vegetables, hash browns with fried egg and bacon – this is where breakfast dreams come true!

Be sure to allow enough time for a digestive walk, because starting from 1 p.m. they also serve Sunday roast, Älplermakkaronen (Swiss alpine macaroni) and desserts.

Rustic “Schüür-Brunch”(Barn Brunch) – Gurten Park im Grünen

How about some traditional, down-to-earth breakfast vibes on Bern’s local mountain? Every Sunday, a delicious farmer’s breakfast, the “Schüür-Brunch”, awaits gourmets in the Gurten's Kulturschür.

The rustic “Schüür-Brunch” is a hearty brunch surrounded by nature but still close to the city. The buffet contains everything from classics such as “Bärner Ankezüpfe” (Bernese butter plait) and Bircher muesli to vegan options and warm, savoury dishes like rösti with bacon. To round off the meal, all kinds of sweet treats await visitors with a sweet tooth.

If you want to get some exercise in before the big feast, you can set off a little earlier and take a leisurely stroll up the path to the Kulturschür. Or take a break in between courses and go for a little walk on the Gurten round trail to enjoy the stunning views – your table will be held for you.

Gurten Park – Pavilion (Luxury Brunch)

In the glass pavilion on the Gurten, the city of Bern and the entire Mittelland literally lay at your feet while the restaurant’s local and regional specialities will take care of your physical well-being.

You can help yourselves to brunch staples à discretion at this buffet: muesli, bread with honey and jam, hard and soft cheese specialities from Switzerland, regional meat platters and hash browns – you won’t want for nothing.

Starting at noon, they offer a warm buffet with Älplermakkaronen (Swiss alpine macaroni) and Sunday roast. If there’s still space in your stomach after all of that, you can treat yourself to a chocolate mousse or a meringue with cream. Good to know: the pavilion is also suitable for larger groups and can be booked for private events.

Brunch at Restaurant Tapis Rouge – on the Gurten

This laid-back, informal restaurant offers a large buffet that will fill the tummies of young and old alike.

Make sure to come here when the sun is out, so you can enjoy your brunch on one of the two terraces and take in the view of the city of Bern and the peaks of the Bernese Oberland or the beautiful nature of the park. And while the adults indulge in their brunch, the kids can go wild in the restaurant’s playroom.

The Tapis Rouge also serves brunch on Saturdays. And if you are planning a trip to the Gurten during the week, you will be more than satisfied with their breakfasts.
