From summer 2018, the Swiss provider PubliBike’s bike sharing network will be available in the Swiss capital. The first 100 “Velo Bern” rental stations will cover the entire city. When the network is complete, there will be 2400 bikes spread across 200 rental stations. Half of these will be e-bikes, which provide extra power up to a speed of 25 kilometers per hour. Bike sharing is an ideal and sustainable addition to private and public transport for short distances. You can rent a bike with or without sub-scribing via the app or having a SwissPass. Bikes and e-bikes can be rented 24/7.
