The Kunstmuseum Bern and the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn are showing in a simultaneous double exhibition, for the very first time, a selection of artworks from the Cornelius Gurlitt legacy.
In the exhibition “Degenerated Art” – confiscated and sold, the Kunstmuseum Bern will display from November 2, 2017, to March 4, 2018 artworks of the modern art, which were defamed in National Socialist Germany.
The Bundeskunsthalle is concentrating on works of art that were withdrawn owing to Nazi persecution and on those for which the provenance has not yet been clarified.
