09.06.2024 Swiss Women's Run Bern

The Swiss Women's Run Bern - an event for the whole family. With over 16,000 participants, the Swiss Women's Run Bern is the largest women's sports event in Switzerland.

During the Swiss Women’s Run, over 16,000 female runners will race through Bern from Bundesgasse to the Monbijou bridge, then loop through the Kirchenfeld district with a final sprint to the Bundesplatz (Parliament Square). Participants can choose from different routes – the longest course is 15 kilometers – that can be covered either running or (Nordic) walking. There are no age limits.

In addition to the different distances and running and (Nordic) walking categories, there is also a Girls’ Sprint (0.5 kilometers) for young runners and the Girls’ Mile (1.6 kilometers). Those who prefer running in a group can register as a team. The Women’s Run gets off to a hilarious start with the “High Heel Run”, when the runners first show off their skills with a sprint (in high heels!) over the Bundesplatz (Parliament Square)., while water lovers can join the Flamingo Run, which includes a swim in the Aare river as part of the route.

Ambitious but still undecided runners can check out the event website for more detailed information about all the categories. Training plans can be downloaded, and running workshops will help with your preparations. Don’t forget: When registering for the Swiss Women’s Run, participants have the option of supporting a charitable organization.
