13.09.2020 slowUp Emmental-Oberaargau

The Emmental region is all geared up for a vehicle-free day. A bike-friendly route with a backdrop of lush green hills and a unique program invite visitors to come out and relax on the roads.

The slowUp recipe is simple but convincing: For one day, a 30-kilometer route is closed to motorized traffic, and an exciting program is planned. In the Emmental region, the gently rolling hills, romantic valleys and charming farmhouses provide the perfect setting. The route leads from Sumiswald via Häusernmoos and Huttwil to Kleindietwil.

Participants mount their bicycles or strap on their inline skates – whether rented or brought along from home. The best part of it is that you can choose your own pace and distance. There is also no fixed starting or arrival point. On and off the route, numerous entertainment zones provide fun and refreshments. Every year, additional events and even more participants pop up onsite. More than half a million fans of outdoor sports participate in the 18 slowUps that take place in Switzerland.

No excuses for no-shows: The slowUp is held no matter what the weather and is free of charge for everyone.
