Museums in the summer? You are spoilt for choice! On Saturdays in August 16 museums and cultural institutions in Bern are opening their doors free of charge. Admiration, astonishment, touching and feeling, new experiences, all these are possible on a modest budget. From museums to castles, parks and gardens: sixteen institutions belonging to the Association of Bern Museums are participating.
This initiative is aimed at the general public, and particularly at families and young people. It is organized by the Association of Bern Museums with support from Migros (via the “Migros Kulturprozent”) and the Bern Civic Community.
Entry to the museums is free on the following Saturdays in August:
- Alpines Museum der Schweiz
- Berner Generationenhaus
- Bernisches Historisches Museum
- Botanischer Garten Bern
- Kunsthalle Bern
- Kunstmuseum Bern
- Museum Cerny Inuit Collection
