Grand Tour of Switzerland

Based on the model of well-known dream roads such as Route 66 (USA), the Grand Tour of Switzerland connects Switzerland's tourist highlights via a 1600km discovery tour and demonstrates the diversity of our country.

The 90 kilometers covered by the Grand Tour within the Bern region contains numerous tourist highlights and some hidden gems.

Gantrisch - Bern - Emmental Valley

As well as action in the Rope Park, the Nature Park Gantrisch also offers wonderful magical moments at the observatory in Uecht, a historic listed building. The Grand Tour winds its way through the nature park’s picturesque landscape towards the city of Bern, with its Old Town which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983.

The alleyways of Bern with their arcades and numerous pretty cafés invite visitors to wander and linger. Right by the Clock Tower (Zytglogge) and the impressive cathedral (Münster) is the Bear Park, where visitors can marvel at three examples of Bern's heraldic animal.

Tradition and modernity come together in the Emmental valley, the next stop on the Grand Tour. With the Gotthelf Zentrum in Lützelflüh, the Show Dairy in Affoltern, Emmmental, and the Kambly Experience in Trubschachen, the region offers plenty of exciting cultural and culinary attractions.
