The time-honored Café des Pyrénées at Granary Square (Kornhausplatz) – which the locals affectionately call the “Pyri” – is a melting pot both for the Bernese and for visitors to the city. A colorful mix of patrons make the Pyri a vibrant meeting point in the center of the Old Town.
The hosts endeavor to spoil their guests with tasty dishes and drinks from Bern and the surrounding area – be it with meat and cheese platters or a variety of Bernese beverages. Handmade crafts from the region are also on exhibit in the restaurant. All of this contributes to the Pyri’s unforgettable atmosphere.
