    Conserving and preserving delicious delicacies

    Towards the end of the summer, we are inundated with fresh vegetables and fruits – but how can they be preserved to last longer? Bottling, preserving or dehydrating: In this course you will not only be introduced to different methods of preserving, you will also get to roll up your sleeves and preserve fresh ingredients yourself. By the way, you may also bring along harvested treasures from your own garden.

  • Wild Herb Cooking Course

    Discover, taste and experience the diversity of local wild herbs

    In the morning, you will explore the forest and green meadows, where you will collect all kinds of edible wild herbs under the guidance of an expert. You will be amazed at how many edible herbs you can harvest and use virtually on your doorstep. You will then head to the cooking studio to conjure up a delicious meal from the plants you collected and enjoy it as a team. Surprising taste sensations are guaranteed!

    Discover the world of plants in Bern’s Old Town

    Many useful things are growing right before our eyes and yet we never really see them. Numerous blooming flowers, green grasses and dense bushes adorn the streets and laneways of Bern. During this tour of the city, you will learn more about the use of plants in medicine and why the capital city provides valuable habitats for rare plants.

    Seduce your senses

    Create your own garden in the city

    Whether on a windowsill, balcony or in a raised bed on a large patio – gardening is possible anywhere. During the "Urban Gardening" workshop you will learn how fresh herbs, vegetables and fruits – perfect for enhancing recipes and meals – can also be grown in the city. You can take your own small garden home with you after the course.
