It is located in the castle’s 300-year-old granary (if only the walls could talk!). Large arched windows flood the space with light and provide a stunning view of the charming Emmental valley. Amidst the elegantly set tables stands the open kitchen with its grill, which allows you to watch the chefs at work. The long knights’ table is perfect for a relaxed ladies night and the sunny courtyard is great for an after-work beer with friends.

For lunch and dinner, the kitchen serves up tasty regional specialities: how about a juicy castle burger with Bernese fries and homemade tartar sauce, for example? By the way: there’s also a vegan version! Complement your meal with a beer straight from the tap or sparkling castle water.

Tip
Make sure you leave some room for the Emmental meringue crumble with vanilla ice cream! The region is known for the airy egg white speciality.
Be it a 50th birthday party, an aperitif with work colleagues, or a larger-scale company event – the venues at Burgdorf Castle can be rented for any occasion and offer a unique setting for any event.
As a special treat before or after your meal, go and discover the 800-year-old knights’ hall and many other attractions at the Museum Schloss Burgdorf, the castle's museum. If you’ve overdone it with the tasty food, don’t worry about getting home and spend the night in one of the comfy beds at the castle’s youth hostel.
