Kornhausforum (Granary Forum)

The Kornhaus Forum fosters new ideas and collaborates with organizers of cultural events. Using innovative methods, it opens its doors to the widest spectrum of art and culture.

The approximately 300-year-old Kornhaus – a former granary for the city – is home to the Kornhaus Forum. The well-known Restaurant Kornhauskeller is located in the basement of this historic building.

The Kornhaus Forum – A Place for Design and Social Policy

By means of exhibitions, readings, lectures, concerts and podium discussions, the Kornhaus Forum addresses current topics such as social policy, local history and city development. Questions and aspects regarding urban life are presented in exciting and fascinating ways, and the audience is invited to join in the public debate. The discourse surrounding the issues is carried out mainly through design, architecture and photography.

The representative Stadtsaal (city meeting hall) on the second floor of the Kornhaus is the main stage for the events. It can be rented for public and private activities.
