The Kornhauscafé will be closed from 12 January 2020 to around May 2020 due to renovation.
Urban lifestyle meets an architectural masterpiece: Bern locals and visitors from around the world meet in the unique atmosphere of this Baroque building from the 18th century. The Kornhaus in Bern’s Old Town is dedicated to culture, enjoyment and art. The two Bindella-operated restaurants treat guests to Italian-Mediterranean cuisine.
From a morning cappuccino or uncomplicated lunch to a tangy cocktail in the evening, the Kornhauscafé is a popular meeting place for eating, chatting and relaxing. Diners are served market-fresh ingredients in the airy, light-filled restaurant. The menu features Mediterranean delicacies such as pasta, risotto and warm panini. There are savory soups and crispy salads for those who aren’t quite as ravenous.
The Kornhauscafé is particularly well known for its hearty brunch buffet with freshly blended fruit smoothies, Bircher muesli, different breads and tasty antipasti. More details about this first-class brunch can be found here.
On warmer days, you can enjoy your food and drinks at the outdoor tables while watching the activity at Kornhausplatz (Granary Square) and around the Kindlifresserbrunnen (Ogre fountain).
