Since spring 2017, homemade ice cream has been on offer where the repair shop for the "Bärengraben-Güterbahnhof" pneumatic tram once stood. Visitors can watch ice cream being made in the Werkstatt the old-fashioned way using artisan methods. From classics like chocolate or strawberry to specialities like Bologna, Black Vanilla or Matcha – ice cream fans can choose from 12 homemade ice creams; in summer from even 22 flavours.
The Eiswerkstatt does not use any artificial colors, preservatives or flavor enhancers. First-class quality ingredients create the intense flavors of the ice cream varieties, such as milk from the Emmental region, pistachios from Sicily, vanilla from Madagascar and hazelnuts from the Italian Piedmont. Guests can also indulge in daily fresh-baked focaccia, house-brewed ice tea and a selection of hot and cold drinks.
