Since spring 2017, homemade gelato has been on offer where the repair shop for the "Bärengraben-Güterbahnhof" pneumatic tram once stood.Eiswerkstatt’s ice cream is manufactured by hand using the traditional Italian method. The result are fresh vegan sorbets and creamy varieties made with organic milk from the Emmental valley. 22 different, homemade ice cream flavours are available year-round, freshly made each day. From classics like chocolate or strawberry to specialities like White chocolate + saffron or Black Vanilla – ice cream fans can choose from 22 homemade ice creams.
The Eiswerkstatt does not use any artificial colors, preservatives or flavor enhancers. First-class quality ingredients create the intense flavors of the ice cream varieties, such as milk from the Emmental region, pistachios from Sicily, vanilla from Madagascar and hazelnuts from the Italian Piedmont. Guests can also indulge in daily fresh-baked focaccia, house-brewed ice tea and a selection of hot and cold drinks.
We especially love the zero-waste glass container: fill it up with gelato to enjoy at home, and once it’s empty, simply bring it back and it will be reused.
