The skilfully thrown-together furnishings in the family-run restaurant at the foot of the Gurten are reminiscent of a decorative second-hand store. The restaurant offers Sunday brunch at affordable prices, so that everyone can sit down at the large table inside or – weather permitting – on the terrace outside.
The popular cultural restaurant serves regional, organic-quality products. The restaurant saves food that would otherwise be thrown away because of blemishes and uses ingredients from surplus production. That’s why you will always find different fruits in your muesli: one time it will be grapes, another strawberry, and another time apples. Delicacies such as cheese, sausages, different kinds of homemade breads and jams, "Züpfe" (plaited bread) and butter are also served, and you can order coffee or tea to go with it. Once a month you can also enjoy a vegan breakfast. This selection will put you at great risk of overeating – a walk up the Gurten might just help if that should be the case.
