Swiss Alpine Museum

Switzerland's only alpine museum lets you experience the distinct environment of Switzerland's mountain ranges.

Learn more about the diversity of the mountains – their past, present and future. The largest collection of mountain reliefs displays the Matterhorn just a stone's throw away from the Bernina.

From the famous Scheuchzer map to the digital terrain model, you'll learn how our "View of the Alps" has changed over time. Encounters with the beauty and mystery of alpine nature, with huge glaciers and with the people will document how life, work, culture and tourism have changed in the Alps.
