From the centre of the village of Riedtwil, the trail leads to the old mill and then along the Mutzbach, which meanders its way through the hilly landscape and can be crossed using small bridges. The route finally leads walkers to the 14-m high Mutzbach falls.
After using steps to navigate around the pool into which the waterfall flows, walkers must then use a short metal ladder to climb a rock wall before reaching a small path blasted into the rock. The path then climbs steeply to the Rüedisbach. From the Leggiswil crossing to Riederen, a small narrow path leads along a sandstone descent down to Wynigen.
