The market on the Orphanage Square is widely considered the focal point of Bern’s Christmas markets. Some 50 stalls in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site offer an extensive range of souvenirs, Christmas items and objects for everyday use – here there is something to suit every taste.
In the days before New Year’s Eve, from December 28 to 29, the end of year market traditionally takes place. The perfect opportunity to grab some fresh air after the Christmas feasts and spend some of that Christmas money.
