In winter, the Parliament Square turns into a playground for ice skaters.
The artificial ice rink in front of the unique scenery of the Swiss Parliament Building is popular with locals and guests alike: every year, thousands of visitors lace up their skates and show their skills on the 600 m2 of this vast illuminated ice rink.
In the restaurant at the ice rink cold feet are warmed and skaters are provided with mulled wine and cheese fondue. Entry is free of charge. Ice skates are available for hire on site.
