The best of tradition and modernity combined: the majority of the buildings on the Appenberg are historical and in the classic Emmental style - the oldest dates back to 1777 - while the furnishings of all the premises are modern and are now used as guest rooms, seminar and meeting rooms, as well as a public restaurant.

The hotel will be open as usual until the end of October 2024 and will then close for extensive renovation work until it reopens in summer 2026.

Appenberg - A place where tradition and modernity go hand in hand. Located just 2 km from the village of Zäziwil, the Hotel Appenberg offers 37 charmingly furnished rooms, a restaurant and various banquet and seminar facilities in 12 historic buildings.

The guest rooms as well as the banquet rooms and public restaurants are spread over different houses, as are the conference and meeting options, making it easy to find the right setting for your stay. The combination of modern and traditional comes naturally on the Appenberg, especially in the conference rooms, where some of the old floors are still maintained and paired with state-of-the-art technical infrastructure. Flavia Bebi and Mario Bless have been the new hosts on the Appenberg since 2024.
