Reopened after Remodelling
Hotel Allegro Kursaal Bern becomes Swissôtel Kursaal Bern
16 million Francs were invested in the total renovation of the Allegro hotel, which was turned into Swissôtel Kursaal Bern by the end of 2020. Guests can look forward to clever design solutions, high-quality features and a carefully planned sustainability concept as well as traditional Swiss hospitality in one of the country's most historic cities – in keeping with the brand’s motto “Life is a journey. Live it well”.
Remodelling of the Best Western Plus Hotel Bern****
The Best Western Hotel Bern has a new look! The modernization expanded across all 99 hotel rooms (and 17 new rooms were added), the exterior facade, the lobby and reception area, the kitchen and the entire seminar floor. The star of the show is the hotel’s new rooftop bar and terrace that is open year-round. Since its complete renovation, the hotel has been operated as a Best Western Plus Hotel.
Hotel harry's home Bern
The Austrian hotel group "harry's home hotels & apartments" currently operates six hotels. It is expected that another hotel will be added in Bern towards the end of 2022. The hotel with 117 rooms will be located in the newly built, 100-meter-high "BäreTower" at Bern's tallest building. According to the motto "for nomads of our time", the hotel chain is pursuing an innovative concept that enables an individually designable living experience while traveling. The offer is extended by "longstay" possibilities, an in-house restaurant as well as a flex space for banquets and seminars. The city center can be reached by suburban train and bus within a few minutes.
The Neue Festhalle Bern – a project with national appeal
As a replacement for the Festhalle (festival hall) built on the BERNEXPO site in 1948, a modern, multi-functional venue for events, concerts, congresses and sporting events with up to 9,000 people is now being planned (opening in 2024). The Neue Festhalle is divided into three functional areas: multi-functional hall, large hall in the Live Center with meeting and hospitality spaces, and a shared foyer. Built in compliance with the Minergie-P standards, it will be operated without the use of fossil fuels, which will enhance the ecological value of the entire site and reduce motorized individual traffic to a minimum. The Neue Festhalle will be a dynamic space for meetings that have not been possible in the city and region of Bern up until now. Versatile, modular and sustainable.
StayKooook Bern City
The former Hotel Metropole in the center of the city of Bern is being converted into a new hotel concept by means of a sophisticated total reconstruction under preservation order. It provides a lean operating concept with self-check-in and offers temporary living space in 85 smart studios with the quality of a boutique hotel. In addition, an exclusive roof terrace and a hall for banquets and seminars for up to 60 people are planned.
