Since the merger of the region’s administrative districts in 2009, the former office spaces in Trachselwald Castle have been empty and can now be rented for events. The castle can host up to 200 guests, either in small groups or for large-scale events. The adjoining castle courtyard and garden can be used as well. The medieval building is not only an outstanding event location, but also has an exciting history. Anyone who would like to find out more about the fascinating stories that unfolded within these walls should definitely take a castle tour.

    Trachselwald Castle was built in the 13th century and is the best-known landmark in the upper Emmental valley. It was originally used for defensive purposes, and then served as a prison, among other things, until the 20th century. It is now a monument of national importance.
