Not wanting to throw away the surplus cream from the adjoining farm, experiments were made with the sweet white mounds until the delectable Kemmeriboden meringue was created. Today, this Emmental delicacy has become a beloved dessert among locals and visitors alike. The hotel serves Kemmeriboden meringue fresh from the oven every day – it’s definitely worth sampling!
