4-Day E-bike Tour

So much more than cycling: get to know the region’s nature, culture, and history on unique themed routes. Explore Bern’s four discovery tours with the new Eurotrek package.

Everyone knows that the clocks tick a little slower in Bern. Strolling through the quaint alleys of Bern’s UNESCO-listed Old City with its unmistakable charm is as relaxing as it gets, and you’re guaranteed to go into full vacation mode when cycling along the Green Belt, a beautiful cycling route that takes you through the villages and municipalities around the city of Bern. And on the Frienisberg Scenic Route, you’ll leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life far behind you. "Nume nid gsprängt", as the Bernese like to say – there’s no rush. And why should you hurry when everything is so wonderfully relaxed on a bike tour around Bern? Laupen’s castle and charming timber-framed houses are a testament of the town’s long history, as is the highly idyllic “Tales of the Gantrisch” E-bike Route: listen to the local tales along the way and dream of adventures from days long gone.

The package includes:

  • accommodation for 3 nights, including breakfast
  • daily luggage transfers
  • costs for luggage transfer at the train station
  • contribution to tickets if travelling to starting point by train
  • excellently thought-through routing
  • travel documents (1 copy per room)
  • service hotline

Please note:

  • Visitors tax, if applicable, is not included in the price.
  • There is a reservation fee of CHF 15 per adult (includes legally required financial protection funds).

Day 1 Journey to Bern | Bern – Wattenwil

Luggage drop-off in Bern. You leave the bustling city centre behind with just a few pedal strokes and circle its agglomeration on quiet back roads along e-bike route 888 Grünes Band Bern (Bern’s Green Belt).

A magnificent panoramic view of the snow-covered peaks of the Bernese Oberland awaits. From Münsingen, you follow the Bern-Süd route through the Gürbetal valley. At the end of the ride, you climb a hill to a farm above Wattenwil.

Day 2 Wattenwil – Rüeggisberg

Discover the Gantrisch Nature Park while riding along the “Tales of the Gantrisch” E-Bike Route on day 2. Myths and legends from the region await in the form of tales about striking places, adventurous experiences, and historical events, conveyed orally in the regional dialect or in French and attractively presented at six interactive experience sites. This informative and fun day ends in Rüeggisberg.

Day 3 Rüeggisberg – Laupen

Ride along the foothills of the Längenberg and cross to Niederwangen, where the Laupen Historical Loop begins. The clocks definitely tick slower on this route, which invites you to slow down, take your time and linger for a bit –  and there’s nowhere better to do that than in charming, laid-back Laupen.

Day 4 Laupen – Bern

Ride past Lake Wohlen and up to the Frienisberg recreation area. This scenic route offers another stunning panoramic view of the Alps before you cycle back to the capital city of Bern along the Green Belt. Upon arrival in Bern, you collect your luggage and depart individually.
