Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe

You can take the legendary Jungfraubahn up to the highest train station in Europe at 3,454 meters above sea level. The ride on the cogwheel train, which is over a century old, from Kleine Scheidegg to the UNESCO-designated Jungfraujoch is an unforgettable experience on its own. The train covers the majority of the steep, almost 10-km journey to the final station in a rock tunnel. The tunnel traverses the Eiger and Mönch mountains and ascends around 1,400 meters to reach its final destination. During a short stopover at the “Eismeer” station, you will get a taste of what’s to come. Large windows provide a view of the surrounding mountain landscape and spectacular glaciers.

At the summit, the literal high point of the trip awaits you. With an icy breeze blowing on your face and the snow crunching underfoot, you can enjoy an incomparable panoramic view of the high-Alpine mountain paradise. On clear days, the view reaches from the French Vogse mountain range all the way to the Black Forest in Germany. Whether from the "Sphinx" or "Plateau” viewing platform – the stunning panorama enchants visitors from all over the world.
