St. Beatus Caves

Legendary caves on Lake Thun

The St. Beatus Caves are one of most popular excursions on Lake Thun. From the parking lot, a beautiful walk takes your through the forest up to the cave entrance, its bridges criss-crossing over the waterfall gushing forth from the cave. While 14 kilometers of the elaborate cave network have been explored thus far, one kilometer of the cave is lit and offers stable, walkable paths.

The cave tour takes you through immense stalactites, vast caverns and gorges.
