Open-air Museum Ballenberg
Up on Ballenberg is a Switzerland as it once was.
History comes alive at this unique venue: more than 100 original, centuries-old buildings from all regions of Switzerland, 250 native farm animals, historical gardens and fields, demonstrations of traditional crafts and special events.
Many craft artisans use authentic tools to demonstrate trades such as wood carving, basket weaving and lace making. The 660,000 square meter park is also home to all sorts of farm animals. Cozy restaurants and picnic spots provide the perfect chance to relax.
