Every year, tens of thousands of runners register for the Bern Grand Prix. While the most ambitious prepare for “The most beautiful 10 miles in the world”, junior and recreational runners can tackle the “Old Town Grand Prix”, and children look forward to the “Bear Grand Prix”. The biggest incentive for completing the sweaty challenge is the impressive backdrop of Bern’s Old Town.
The first Bern Grand Prix was held in 1982. Today, the event is considered a classic and attracts more and more sports enthusiasts eager to sprint past Bern’s most famous sights. World and European champions regularly join in and enjoy the unparalleled atmosphere themselves. Motivated participants, cheering fans and a varied music program make this a one-of-a-kind running event.
