Emmental Cheese Route

The Emmental Cheese Route, which starts and ends in Burgdorf, provides electric bike users with an opportunity to find out everything they have ever wanted to know about the centuries-old tradition of Emmental cheese. Cyclists can choose between a 1-day (35 km) or 2-day (78 km) option.

The electric bike rental service offered by FLYER means that even visitors without their own electric bikes can make the most out of their trip to the Emmental valley. A special Cheese Route app helps visitors to avoid getting lost en route and provides information about the sights, with images, text and audio to enhance the spectacular views.

The Cheese Route provides plenty of enjoyment for even the youngest of visitors, who can earn their stripes as detectives with Detective Cow Emma.
