September 29 - October 1, 2017
At the end of September, Bern will be transformed into a hotspot for freestylers. From September 29 to October 1, 2017, the best snowboarders and freestyle skiers will spend three days competing on the Big Air jump. The capital city is becoming the official location of the FIS Big Air World Cup and hopefully part of the new FIS Super Series. The new label was just launched in the current season and includes venues at which both snowboarders and freestyle skiers will hit the big ski jump.
This is the third world championship event hosted by the Canton of Bern, after the FIS World Cup skiing tournaments in Adelboden and Wengen. This one is right in the heart of the Swiss capital and will involve constructing a huge ski jump on the exhibition grounds of the BERNEXPO in the fall.
In connection with its relaunch in Bern, the 21st edition of Freestyle.ch has something else new in store: in the week leading up to the main event, a Freestyle.ch fun park will be offered for the first time, allowing visitors to try out various winter sport disciplines for themselves.
