Bern Art Gallery (Kunsthalle Bern)

Since it opened on 5 October 1918, Bern Art Gallery (Kunsthalle Bern) has presented a wide range of Bernese, national, and international artworks to the public.

Since it was established in 1918, Bern Art Gallery (Kunsthalle Bern) has viewed itself as a place to produce, present, and arrange exceptional exhibitions of contemporary art.

Solo exhibitions of artists such as Paul Klee, Alberto Giacometti, John Moore, Jasper Johns, Sol LeWitt, Bruce Nauman, and Daniel Buren or topical exhibitions such as Harald Szeemann’s “When Attitudes Become Form” make Bern Art Gallery a meaningful institution of contemporary cultural production with an ongoing international impact.
