Small, sophisticated, personal and never far − winter sports in the Bern region are an absolute nature immersion experience. The area boasts twelve diverse ski areas up to 1,800 meters in altitude – perfect for the whole family.
In winter, the Gurten is also one of the most rewarding excursions for the whole family, especially when Bern is fogged in while the sun shines up on the Gurten. Sixty sturdy Davoser sleds are ready to zip down the 1,200 meter toboggan run. Even if you just go up to the Gurten for a good meal or a walk and then suddenly feel like sledding - no worries. The sleds can be rented at the top station.
SchneeSelital (1,500 m. alt.) offers three lifts and eight km of slopes with easy to difficult levels, plus a funpark and snowtubing. Whether you want to ski, do snowshoe or cross country, or take a winter hike, in Selital you'll find it all in one place. Approximately one hour from Bern by train or Alpine Bus.
