Jegenstorf castle

In 1720, Albrecht Friedrich von Erlach converted the medieval moated castle into an elegant baroque country estate with grounds.

Visitors to the Museum of Bernese Home Décor of the 17th to 19th centuries will be awed by precious interiors with top-quality furnishings, portraits, clocks and tiled stoves. Special exhibition: “Welcoming an Emperor. Haile Selassie’s 1954 State Visit”.
