Allegro Bar – famous for its international flair

The Allegro Bar is renowned far beyond the borders of Bern for its inviting atmosphere and international flair. A popular meeting point among the Bernese and visitors alike, the bar serves a wide range of top quality coffees, captivating cocktails and tasty snacks. Fine wine and sparkling champagne can be ordered by the glass, and live music enhances the ambience every evening. 

In cooperation with Davidoff, we have pleasure in offering smokers among our guests a special lounge for their enjoyment. The Zino Platinum Cigar Lounge is located on the ground floor of the Hotel Allegro, and offers a fine selection of choice cigars as well as drinks served from the Allegro Bar. The lounge is open to all smokers and provides an exclusive ambience unique in Bern.

The café bar Turnhalle is located in the «Progr», center for cultural productions, only five minutes away from the central train station. This bar and, when the weather is nice, also the quiet and relaxing courtyard, is perfect to drink, eat, flirt, gossip, exercise, dream, dance, think, talk, listen, look...

In addition to its unique atmosphere the bar in the Turnhalle is a great place to go with a widely mixed patronage and good concerts.

The Turnhalle is an established popular meeting point, the communication board in the center for cultural productions «Progr» and partner for numerous cultural institutions and festivals in Bern.

You can chat in a relaxed atmosphere with jazz music in the background. The old sandstone walls and the minimalistic architecture of the whisky and cocktail bar are the stage for a bit of real bar culture.

In the former coal cellar deep under the arcades (shops) surrounded by picturesque art you can enjoy a twelve-year-old Single Malt whisky or the "ONO Drink".

The discreet hues of the sandstone walls and the arrangement of the seating areas in the bar, lounge and landing bring the lounge Bereich resemble a modern airport.

Good that things are not hectic here and you can make yourself comfortable at the bar, in a chair or on soft cushions on the wooden landing while enjoying a wonderful evening.

The bar not only offers cocktails from around the world, but also ice-cold beer, exquisite red and white wines and olives and parmesan crisps to snack on.

The Ristorante Lorenzini on the first floor has been one of the most beautiful Italian restaurants in Bern since 1973. On the ground floor is the stylish Quick bar. The patronage is of mixed ages and rather elegant.

The bar conveys the atmosphere of a big city and is furnished like a typical Florence café and cocktail bar. The original Italian coffee blend is especially famous and popular here. In the evening the bar changes to a very popular music bar with a great atmosphere.

The vinotheque (enoteca) in an American-Italian style invites to aperitifs or a relaxing break with selected goodies from their wine cellar.

The Propeller is popular for its easygoing atmosphere, its friendly staff and last but not least for its abundant offer: from a large choice of Italian coffees to delicious snacks to Single Malt whiskies.

On weekends - from Thursday to Saturday - and in the nights before holidays there is clubbing and music in the lower floor from 10 pm. Live DJs and night owls young and old create the right mood for a party. Moderate prices.

The Samurai Bar is the oldest lesbian and gay bar in town. This bar with its special decorations and a multifarious menu offers something for any taste.

For ears and legs. Depending on the evening local DJs make music from the most diverse music styles. Especially on weekends the little dancefloor will be packed.

Ideally located in the immediate vicinity of the train station and other party locations.

In the bar as well as in the winery under the arcades (shops) there are also rich Riesling wines from the Pfalz (Palatinate) and Mosel regions.

All wines offered were personally tasted and selected in their respective places of origin. Regular visits of the winemakers on their vinyard is part of the business philosophy.
